Fresh and aromatic, our orange oil exhibits a profusion of orange and citrus flavors and is bright orange in color. Orange oil can be used as a flavoring across a wide spectrum of delicacies including ice cream, candy, confections, libations, etc.
Orange oil has a low viscosity (thin), and therefore is used in culinary and mixology/cocktail applications to help dissolve other oils.
Pure orange oil is often used for its anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, bactericidal, digestive and fungicidal properties.
Our orange oil is extracted from organic orange peel using CO2 Supercritical Fluid Extraction (SFE). Our extraction of orange oil using SFE is efficient with the majority oxygenated compounds and D-limonene remaining in tact.
Orange oil constitutes only 5% of the oxygenated components in the peel and is therefore difficult to recover using other techniques. Orange oil with higher oxygenated contents are prized for this very reason.
Our orange oil retains a long shelf life because CO2 SFE eliminates contaminating pathogens.
